Winter Markt Event

Experience the magic of the holidays at the annual Birmingham Winter Markt, presented by Mercedes-Benz of Bloomfield Hills, featuring displays from local artists and vendors, European cuisine, thousands of holiday lights, ice sculptures, live entertainment, complimentary carriage rides, courtesy of Lincoln of Troy, and more. Santa House, a Kinderhaus children’s activity area and warming stations are sure to please visitors of all ages!

Join us on opening night (Friday, December 6) at 6 p.m. for the annual Birmingham Holiday Tree Lighting, presented by DG Realty Group, featuring Santa, live caroling and the lighting of a 41-foot holiday tree adorned with over 40,000 LED lights! Kw Domain will be providing free glow wants to visitors (while supplies last).

Tree Lighting Ceremony: 6 p.m.

Saturday, December 7, 10 a.m. - 9 p.m.
Snow Queen and Frozen Princess Appearances: 12:30 - 3:30 p.m.
Horse-drawn Carriage Rides: 2 - 8 p.m.

Sunday, December 8, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Horse-drawn Carriage Rides: 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Interested in Volunteering?

Volunteering for Birmingham Shopping District (BSD) events is a great way to give back to your community, while learning more about event management, interacting with community members and getting a behind-the-scenes look at what we do in the BSD. It's also a fun way to fulfill volunteer hour requirements for school or other organizations, or build camaraderie with within a sports team/club/troop. We are no longer accepting vendors for this event. Thank you for your interest and please check back here in September 2025.

Please note: we do not solicit vendors in our social media post comments or event listings and have seen an increase in scammers attempting to do so. We will only contact vendors that have formally completed our vendor application, through our official BSD email addresses and invoices. Please be aware of potential scammers on social media.
