BRRmingham Blast

Zip in to Downtown Birmingham on Saturday, January 25, 2025 from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., for the BRRmingham Blast event featuring free entertainment, food trucks and activities for all ages! The event takes place in the heart of Downtown Birmingham, along South Old Woodward Avenue from Maple Road to Brown Street (view map). 

• Zip Line: Thrill seekers of all ages are invited to ride the 300-foot-long zip line free of charge during the event. Participants must weigh a minimum of 40lbs. and a maximum of 225lbs. and be at least 6 years of age to ride the zip line. *Please note: The line for this attraction will close at 5 p.m. to accomodate all riders before the end of the event.*
• Food Trucks: A delicious variety of food trucks will be serving up savory favorites and warm sweets for purchase.  For those who prefer to dine-in, explore a list of downtown restaurants.
• Warming Tent and Entertainment: Warm up with family-friendly entertainment including a magic show (at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.) and story time courtesy of the Baldwin Public Library (at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.). 
• Marshmallow Roasting: Gather around the fires for free marshmallow roasting all day.
• Retail Sales: Downtown Birmingham’s many local and national retailers will be open during the event, so be sure to schedule some time to shop post-holiday sales and new 2025 merchandise! Explore a full list of downtown retailers.

Spring Stroll

The Spring Stroll event features local retailers and restaurants, with special giveaways and more. The event will take place between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. with staggered start times.

Registration is required and opens in March. Please check back then! 

Registered attendees should arrive at the designated check-in location during their assigned time to receive an event bag, coloring activity sheet and list of participating merchants. Attendees are invited to visit the participating merchants of their choice, collect giveaways and complete the activity sheet. Completed activity sheets may be returned to the event check-in for a prize, and will be displayed around town.

Farmers Market - Opening Day!

Join us as we celebrate the Farmers Market's 23rd season with the Opening Day Celebration!

Nestled in the heart of downtown Birmingham, the Birmingham Farmers Market is an outdoor market featuring Michigan-grown produce, meat and dairy, floral arrangements, plants, artisan goods and more. The market is open every Sunday, May 4 through October 26 from 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. The market is located in Public Parking Lot 6 at 660 North Old Woodward Avenue. Visitors of all ages will enjoy the welcoming atmosphere with live music, food trucks, kids' activities and special events. Nearby parks, eateries and shopping make it the perfect place to spend a Sunday!
