Birmingham Art Walk

This free strolling event will feature local artists and shops, entertainment and more throughout downtown Birmingham! Stop by participating merchants to meet local artists and enjoy special promotions, light refreshments and other festivities during the second annual Birmingham Art Walk event on Thursday, October 12, 2023, from 5 – 8 p.m.

Attendees are invited to start at the participating business of their choice to receive an event list and then stroll to visit as many participating businesses and artists as desired, throughout the evening.

Participating businesses include Anthropologie, West Elm, Ethan Allen, Workco, Untied on Woodward, Viga Boutique, Lux Travel Girl, Urban Wick Candle Bar and more! Pick up a full list of participating businesses at any one of these businesses during the event. 

We would like to extend a special thank you to the Birmingham Bloomfield Art Center for their support in partnering local artists with our local businesses. 

Farmers Market

Nestled in the heart of downtown Birmingham, the Birmingham Farmers Market is an outdoor market featuring Michigan-grown produce, meat and dairy, floral arrangements, plants, artisan goods and more. The market is open every Sunday, May 7 through October 29 from 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. and is located in Public Parking Lot 6 at 660 North Old Woodward Avenue.  Visitors of all ages will enjoy the welcoming atmosphere with live music, food trucks, kids' activities and special events. Nearby parks, eateries and shopping make it the perfect place to spend a Sunday!

Birmingham Santa Walk

Register for the annual Birmingham Santa Walk and join us in welcoming Santa to town! The short walk through downtown will include stops at various shops, before concluding at Santa's quaint home in Shain Park. 

Registration will begin November 1 at 8 a.m. Check back here for more details and the registration link. 

Participate in all of our free activities during Small Business Saturday including horse-drawn carriage rides, hot chocolate and more. Parking is free in municipal structures during the event.

Small Business Saturday

Shop local for special deals and enjoy the holiday atmosphere during Small Business Saturday! 

Enjoy free festivities throughout the day including horse-drawn carriage rides, hot chocolate and more! Parking is free in municipal structures during the event.

Winter Markt & Tree Lighting

Experience the magic of the holidays at the annual Birmingham Winter Markt featuring displays from local artists and vendors, European cuisine, thousands of holiday lights, ice sculptures, live entertainment and more. Warming stations, visits with Santa* and the Kinderhaus children’s activity area are sure to please visitors of all ages!

Join us on opening night (Friday, December 1) at 6:00 p.m., for the annual Birmingham Holiday Tree Lighting featuring Santa, live caroling and the lighting of the holiday tree adorned with over 40,000 LED lights!
