It's the time of year when 40,000+ classic cars and more than one million people line Woodward Avenue to attend the world's largest one-day automotive event, the Woodward Dream Cruise.  Complete the Birmingham Cruise Event Car Application to be part of the event!

The Birmingham Cruise Event will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is located on South Old Woodward from Maple to Lincoln.

- 300 classic cars of all makes and models
- Chevrolet exhibit to host a variety of displays
- Food vendors
- Car Clubs featuring Corvettes, Thunderbirds, Model A’s, Mustangs, Rolls-Royce and more
- Both WXYZ Channel 7 and WOMC 104.3 FM will broadcast live throughout the day
- Live Music
- Collision Six playing from noon - 2 p.m.

Event day registration is open to individual cars, model year 1988 and older. Individual cars may check in after 9:30 a.m. at the registration tent at Brown and Woodward (Jax Kar Wash). Day-of parking is $40, based upon availability and on a first come first served basis.

Birmingham's walkable downtown is the ideal place for cruise lovers to spend the day. The historic downtown area features a wide variety of restaurants including sandwich shops, casual dining, upscale eateries, and a variety of ethnic cuisine. The shopping is great, with a variety of eclectic shops and name-brand national retailers. All Cruise events and venues are within walking distance of Birmingham’s five parking decks, where the first two hours of parking are free. All Birmingham parking meters are credit card and Parkmobile enabled.

Individual cars can enter after 9:30 am at Brown and Woodward (Jax Car Wash).  1988 and older models only, please. 

If you don't own a classic car but want to participate in the event, there are many volunteer opportunities throughout the day. Download the Volunteer Registration form here. Thank you!

Anyone interested in being a vendor, peddler or setting up a tent during the Dream Cruise, on Saturday, August 17th, will need to complete a Vendor/Tent Application  for the Birmingham Shopping District and review the Event Guildelines. You also need to complete the City of Birmingham's Peddler/Vendor Application.
