Day On The Town is the biggest shopping day of the year in downtown Birmingham, and it draws thousands from near and far. This event is for people on the hunt for a good deal, and there are many deals to be found. Whether you’re looking for clothing, jewelry, artwork, antiques, dishes, vases or toys, Birmingham is the place to be on July 27! 

The 9-Hour Sale plus FREE Parking!
Large crowds are anticipated from the entire Metro-Detroit area for Day On The Town's main attraction - SALES! Birmingham merchants will place their discounted merchandise on display around the Maple and Old Woodward area from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. From shoes and apparel to home décor and jewelry, there's something for everyone during Day On The Town.  Attendees will enjoy free parking in all parking structures and at meters throughout the event.

Children’s Activities – Bike Rodeo, Bounce House & More
Join us for the first annual Birmingham Police Department BikeRodeo, scheduled for 9 a.m. on Saturday, July 27th at 151 Martin Street. Kicking off Day On The Town, this event is FREE for children age 4 through 12. Attendees will learn new skills and practice on our challenge courses, visit the bike wash station, and receive a personalized bike safety license. Bike inspections will be offered by the Birmingham Police Bicycle Patrol Unit and the Birmingham Fire Department. Bring your bike and helmet - and have fun! For additional information regarding the Bike Rodeo, call 248-530-1863. Throughout Day On The Town, young attendees will enjoy a Kids Zone featuring a complimentary rock climbing wall (10 a.m. - 4 p.m., closed-toe shoes required), crafts and a complimentary bounce house sponsored by Platinum Motor Cars.

Merchant Information
* Register Now for Day On The Town: 
The 2019 Day On The Town merchant registration form is now available. Please submit your form by Monday, July 8th.

Merchants with stores within the Day On The Town event footprint are given first priority for use of the street area directly in front of their stores. If they choose not to use the space, the BSD reserves the right to use the space for another merchant/vendor. Subletting of space is not permitted.

* Merchants on N. Old Woodward between Oakland and Ravine and on S. Old Woodward from Brown to Lincoln are able to set up tables on the sidewalk in front of their store (leaving a five foot walking path).
* Merchants on N. Old Woodward from Ravine to Oak are able to set up tents on the sidewalk in front of their store (leaving a five foot walking path).
* A designated area will be set aside for merchants who are outside the street closures to sell merchandise or to hand out promotional materials. 

* For Birmingham businesses outside of the Birmingham Shopping District, there is a $150 fee to be included in the event footprint. Register early, space is limited.
